Bookworm Themed Birthday party!

I cannot believe my baby turned two this year. TWO! Two years of his life has flashed before me! It was like he was just a little baby and now he's a toddler. I wanted to throw him an amazing party and I think (hope!) I did really good job. My son loves to read so I did a bookworm reading theme. I got a few ideas from pinterest and let my imagination do the rest. Here are a few shots from the party! I think the place I had it at was awesome and the instructors had tons of energy. All of the 20 kids had a blast!

Happy 33 to me!

This weekend we celebrated my 23rd 33rd birthday! Ever since my 30th, I decided no more big parties, nothing crazy, just a lot of ME time and family time too. The night before we went out to dinner here. The day of I had an amazing spa at Elizabeth Arden, brunch at Serafina, a manicure and a blow out. All in order to get ready for a wedding of two people I introduced years ago. Its amazing to actually know both the bride and groom and feel responsible for them falling in love. The groom introduced me to his whole family as the girl who set them up and the birthday girl! I wore this amazing dress, my favorite shoes and bag and a gorgeous necklace. The next day we had brunch with my in laws (it was my mother in law's birthday the next day!) at The Inn at Pound Ridge, delish! I wore my favorite AG jeans, another great necklace and my new birthday Gucci ballet flats!

Prince First Birthday Party

It's been a few months since my last post, so I will have to catch you up a bit but for now I wanted to talk about the planning and executing of my son's first birthday party. I wanted a prince theme and I think I went a bit too far. But if you know me, I can sure as hell throw a party. Before I was a momma, I still am was one bad ass event planner :) Etsy was for sure a key player in this party as well as a lot of googling, pinning and my imagination. However, I promised hubs that the second birthday would be a bit more low key. Um, yeah Ok :)

Here is just a little snippet of how it all went down.

Birthday Fun Day

Tomorrow is my 32nd birthday - jeez :) This year instead of gifts, I decided I wanted a day of special things. Things that I do not normally have time for with baby. So hubs has given me the day off and has graciously paid for all my activities and a bunch of time in between to snuggle with my little one.
